Leaders from the School of Foreign Studies at Beijing Information Science & Technology University (BUIST) Visited Our College for academic Exchange

On the afternoon of June 16, He Fang, the Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Studies of Beijing of Information Science & Technology University (BUIST), together with Xiao Bin, Deputy Dean of BUIST, and Zhang Xiaoman, Director of Graduate Teaching Department, visited our college for academic exchange. Present at the meeting to host the guests were Qu Deqiang party secretary, Jin Xiaodong Deputy Party Secretary Jin Xiaodong, Zhang Le, deputy dean, Wang Yong director of the MTI Education Center and relevant office personnel. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Le.

Qu Deqiang welcomed He Fang and the delegation for the visit. He briefed the guests on the Party administration in our college, shared the experience of carrying out the theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as well as the featured cases and relevant achievements of party buildin in recent years. In addition, Zhang Le presented to the guests the profile of the college, its history, discipline and faculty structure, scientific research achievements, and awards received by faculty and students, etc.

He Fang introduced the development of the School of Foreign Studies at BUIST in recent years, focusing on discipline characteristics, information technology, machine translation, enrollment and the purpose of this visit.

Professor Wang Yong discussed the construction of the MTI Education Center at our school and shared information on the training objectives, faculty employment, curriculum design, research orientations, and internships of the MTI program. Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on school-enterprise cooperation, research projects and awards, professional title assessment, college foreign language teaching, international exchanges and graduate employment.

Both sides believed that the visit offered an opportunity for them to learn from each other and to share experiences and approaches in party building. Both sides also expressed their sincere hope that they would remain in contact to promote the  development and collaboration between the two universities in MTI construction and graduate student cultivation.
