On February 20, 2025, Mr. Masanobu Yamazaki, Director of the Center for International Exchange (CIE) of SWU, paid a visit to USST. He emphasized that next year will mark the 120th anniversary of USST, and that further cooperation with SWU will enrich the international exchange programs in the anniversary. Dean Liu highlighted the CFL’s developmental milestones, disciplinary advantages, and international exchange programs. Director Yamazaki thanked the reception and extolled the exceptional performance of our exchange students. He remarked that these students not only excelled academically but also initiatively participated in cultural activities on campus. Notably, one visiting student was selected as a student representative to deliver a speech at the commencement ceremony. Director Yamazaki reaffirmed SWU’s commitment to strengthening ties with USST and hoped to expand cooperation in student exchanges, summer programs, faculty visits, and joint research programs so as to cultivate globally competitive talents.

Following the meeting, accompanied by Director Yang of Japanese Department, CFL, Director Yamazaki toured the USST and the CFL, engaging in discussions with graduate students interested in SWU’s exchange programs. He highly commended our modern teaching facilities, picturesque campus, and vibrant academic atmosphere. He hoped that more students would apply for exchange programs to foster cultural and scholarly interaction between two universities.
