A Delegation from Seikei University Visited USST

On September 24, 2024, Mr. Fukuda Yoshio, Director of the International Exchange Office of Seikei University, paid a visit to USST. He was warmly received by Liu Qin, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages (CFL); Xu Lin, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office (IAO); and entourage from both departments. The meeting was chaired by Yang Benming, Director of the Department of Japanese, CFL.

Deputy Director Xu provided an overview of USST’s historical development, disciplinary strengths, and international engagement to Mr. Fukuda. And Dean Liu elaborated on the CFL’s academic achievements, disciplinary features, and global collaboration initiatives. Mr. Fukuda expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and shared Seikei University’s history, educational philosophy, and internationalization efforts, express his hope to strengthen exchange programs and joint academic research between the two institutions. Both sides reached a consensus on collaboration in such fields as exchange program and faculty exchange visit.

After the discussions, Mr. Fukuda, accompanied by faculty members from the Department of Japanese, toured the campus. He extolled USST’s modern teaching facilities and vibrant campus life, expressing optimism for deeper collaboration in the future.

This visit laid a solid foundation for formalizing ties between the two universities, opening new avenues for academic and cultural cooperation.
