On June 17, a faculty member and several students from the German Department of the College of Foreign Languages visited Bosch (China) Investment Ltd. for a field trip and career development discussions. They were warmly received by Mao Tianxin, Senior Corporate-University Relations Advisor at Bosch.
During the visit, Mao Tianxin provided overview of Bosch's operations. In 1926, Bosch established its first automotive after-sales service workshop in Shanghai. Bosch now delivers advanced technologies and solutions across China in automotive and intelligent transportation, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy and building technology—embodying its vision of "Invented for life" across all business sectors.
The students inquired about leveraging their German language proficiency in professional settings. The corporate advisor recommended focusing on functional roles, noting that language skills are particularly valued in global sales. Internship experience was also highlighted as critical for successful interviews. Zhong Hao, a student from the School of Management currently interning at Bosch, shared his interview insights with the visitors. Both parties further exchanged views on German language talent cultivation, internship opportunities, and career development education.
Before the meeting, the guests toured Bosch’s exhibition hall and office areas, experiencing the company’s business layouts and its vibrant corporate culture. The students expressed great satisfaction with the valuable insights gained and looked forward to future visits.
