CFL Holds Joint Management Committee Meeting for Sino-US Joint Program

On June 4, the Joint Management Committee meeting for the Sino-US joint program—an undergraduate program between USST and Queens College, City University of New York—was convened at USST. Presided over by Vice President Cai Yonglian, the meeting was held online. Present at the meeting were Patricia Price, Provost and Vice President of Queens College, Tao Wang, Acting Vice Dean of the Queens College School of Business and program director; Liu Qin, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages; Geng Xiuli, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs; and relevant representatives from both the College of Foreign Languages and the Office of International Affairs.


In her opening address, Cai Yonglian praised the program for its significant value. She emphasized that the joint program has been in successful operation for nearly three decades, and had over two thousand graduates. She reaffirmed the university's commitment to the principle of “mutual benefit and win-win cooperation”, pledging to further deepen and expand the collaborative initiatives and jointly elevate the strategic partnership to new heights. In her remarks, Patricia Price conveyed Queens College's steadfast support for the program, describing it as a cornerstone of Queens College's internationalization strategy. She expressed eagerness to build on the existing achievements and explore more fields of collaboration with USST.


During the meeting, Dean Liu Qin delivered a work report on the program's annual operations and Professor Tao Wang gave a work report on the annual faculty dispatch. Participants discussed matters related to the program's future development and signed relevant resolutions and meeting minutes.
