The 37th annual meeting and academic seminar of Foreign Language Professional Committee of Shanghai Education Technology Association was successfully held on January 9,2022. More than 70 leaders, experts and scholars, representatives of teachers from over 30 universities, including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai International Studies University, Tongji University, East China Normal University,as well as representatives of foreign language education technology manufacturers, gathered in the technology exhibition hall of Ziyue Technology Company. The conference was presided over by Professor Liu Qin, dean of CFL, USST. The award-winning teachers of CFL were invited to attend the conference.

Xie Weiqun, Chairman of Shanghai Ziyue Technology Co., first addressed to the conference. Xie pointed out that the nation was now embarking on a new march of comprehensively constructing a modernized socialist country ushered under the leadership of the Central Committee of CPC, who had just celebrated her centenary. In this new era, the foreign language discipline had a lot to contribute and a long way to go with respect to talent training, knowledge supply, academic innovation and international integration.

Subsequently, Professor Chen Jianlin, president of the Foreign Language Professional Committee of Shanghai Education Technology Association, delivered the Work Report of Foreign Language Professional Committee of Shanghai Education Technology Association in 2021. The report reviewed the main work of the association in 2021, and pointed out that under the guidance of the Party's educational policy, the association has publicized and promoted its foreign language education and teaching experience, strengthened inter-university cooperation, carried out a number of academic research work, and held solicitation activities for excellent papers and courseware. President Chen pointed out that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party. The association adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, combines with the party history education activities, and stays true to its original aspiration and keeps its mission firmly in mind, in order to promote the modern education of foreign language informatization, and constantly create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win situation between 'industry, university and research'.

Adhering to the spirit of 'industry, university and research' advocated by the association, this seminar has built a cooperation platform for teachers and foreign language education technology manufacturers, and exhibited the latest successful application cases such as artificial intelligence and virtual simulation. In the integration of production and teaching, the association make full use of 'Internet+' big data to drive the teaching and research in colleges and universities, serve national strategic demand, constantly strengthen the construction of discipline, and makes positive contributions in 'double top' discipline construction with the IUR collaborative spirit. These moves have attracted high attention from all member units of the Association.
In this year's excellent papers and courseware selection, CFL’s Zhang Shiqian and Huang Fang respectively won the first prize of excellent paper and the first prize of excellent courseware, and were invited by the association to share and exchange on the spot. Zeng Shuang and Wang Chen won the second prize of excellent paper and excellent courseware respectively; Ni Jincheng, Huang Fang, Chen Yu, Jiang Chunhua, Wang Lina, Li Xuexin and Zhou Qingyan won the third prize of excellent paper and excellent courseware respectively. The number of winners and the level of winners are the highest in the past years, and also the highest level among the participating universities. The wonderful achievements ofCFL are not only the result of the teachers' personal efforts, but also a reflection of the CFL leaders’ emphasis on the importance of the personal growth of faculty members in recent years, which has provided strong support for the construction of teachers and the coordinated education of industry and university in its 14th Five-Year Plan.
