The College now has 170 full-time teachers, including 13 professors, 45 associate professors; 89 teachers hold a doctor’s degree, and 13 of them obtained their doctor’s degree overseas; 81 teachers have more than one year’s experience of overseas study, and 8 teachers are currently working towards their doctor’s degrees. 6 full-time foreign teachers and about 10 foreign teachers carry on short-term programs from Britain, USA, Germany and Japan work here every year. Many teachers of our college have won such honors as “the National Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award,” “Humboldt Foundation’s German Chancellor Scholarship”, “Shanghai Yucai Award”, “Shanghai March Eighth Red Banner Pacesetter”, and “Shanghai Pujiang Talent.” Teachers of the College have also won such awards as “Shanghai Teaching Achievements Award”, “Shanghai Excellent Courses”, “Shanghai Key Courses” as well as a number of scientific research achievements awards at provincial or ministerial level.
