On May 18, Dionisio Zaldivar Silva, Vice Presidentof University of Havana (Cuba) and Annia Hernandez, Director of Innovation Foundation of University of Havana, visitedCollege of Foreign Languages to further discuss matters of cooperation. CFL Dean Liu Qin presided over the meeting. Liu Yuan, Deputy Chief of the International Exchange Department, Fan Bin, Project Commissioner of the Institute of Science and Technology Development, Zhang Le, Vice Dean of CFL, Li Minmin, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Cao Qiuchen, Secretary of International Exchange attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the details of Spanish SFL teaching, shared their teaching experience and methods, and discussed the program’s textbook selection and faculty arrangements. In addition, the two sides also focused on the implementation and arrangements of the short-term study tours for teachers and students. Both parties agreed that the Spanish language courses and short-term study tours for teachers and students could improve students' language competence and cross-cultural communication skills, provide broader opportunities for their future learning and career development, and thus promote the communication and cooperation between the two universities.
The meeting was an advancement of the first meeting in December 2022 and laid the foundation for further cooperation between the two sides.
