On afternoon April 25, Lu Jue, an outstanding alumnus of the Department of English (Sino-US cooperation) in 2007 and deputy general manager of strategic investment of the E-government Modeling and Simulation National Engineering Laboratory, visited CFL on invitation. Dean Liu Qin warmly welcomed Lu Jue's arrival and thanked her for her support and help to CFL.

Dean Liu and Lu Jue had in-depth exchanges on the development of the college, and discussed topics such as how to better support the development of the college and promote students' career planning. Dean Liu said that USST and CFL have always attached great importance to the work of alumni, and the development of their alma mater cannot be separated from the support of alumni. She hoped that alumni would make suggestions for the training of talents in the college, explore cooperation spaces, and share a chapter of development. Lu Jue said that her alma mater has always been a strong backing for alumni. The university and the college have always been concerned about the development of all the alumni. Alumni also hope to go back often to their alma mater to have a look, share work experience and life insights with their junior fellow students, broaden their practice and employment positions, and make positive contributions to the development of their alma mater.

After the symposium, Lu Jue also delivered a career planning lecture entitled 'Planning and Exploration in the Financial Industry to Build Your Own Career Path' to her younger brothers and sisters. She began with her own development in the financial industry and shared her experience and insights in the workplace. She encouraged students to have the courage to try, constantly explore their interests and potential, and strive to improve their comprehensive strength. She put forward some suggestions and practical skills for career planning. For example, when facing the problem, they should first tackle with the emotions behind the problem, avoid the negative impact of anxiety, and then comprehensively and deeply analyze the problem itself. Structured methods could be used after a clearer understanding of the problem, and the results are often better with much less efforts. After the lecture, the students said that they had gained a lot and benefited a lot, and had clearer ideas and plans for their future career plans.

The holding of this symposium and lecture not only promoted the contact and communication between CFL and her alumni, but also provided a valuable learning opportunity for students. In the future, CFL will continue to promote the connection and exchange between alumni and the college, and provide students with more extensive and rich learning resources and opportunities. This activity lays the foundation for the college to carry out in-depth alumni work. At the same time, it is also an important exploration for CFL to actively carry out school-enterprise cooperation and employment. In recent years, CFL has attached great importance to the connection between alumni and the college, hoping to take advantage of the strength of alumni to better promote the construction of first-class majors and promote the cultivation of compound foreign language talents.
