On the afternoon of April 12, CFL and Steinbeis of Germany exchanged and discussed the possibility of future cooperation through the Tencent conference platform, and the two sides reached a preliminary intention to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership. This exchange opportunity benefited from the contact of Da Mu, a 2009 English (Scientific and Technological Translation) alumnus of CFL, and currently the international business director of Beijing Electronic Control 761 Workshop. Dean Liu Qin, Professor Wang E’nuo, the leader of the German discipline, Bian Hong, Head of the German Department, and Cao Yun, Deputy Head of the German Department, Ma Juan, China's chief representative of the German Steinbeis Global Research Institute, and Zhang Woye, director of the China Project Department, attended the meeting.
First of all, Liu Qin extended a warm welcome to the representatives of the company on behalf of the college, and gave a detailed introduction to the development history of CFL’s majors and disciplines, its characteristics and faculty and the advantages of the translation team. Bian Hong introduced the development history of German majors, teachers, scientific research teaching and research achievements, student training quality, international cooperation and the destinations of graduates. Wang Aina introduced the training characteristics, teacher strength and translation achievements of the master's degree in German translation.
Subsequently, Zhang Woye introduced the purpose, development process and organizational structure of Steinbeis Global Research Institute, especially the development process of Steinbeis China, which is committed to serving Sino-German industrial cooperation and promoting economic development. Ma Juan introduced the cooperation and service objects of Steinbeis China, and displayed the cooperation methods through specific cases. She said that CFL is characterized by science and technology, with translation as its strength, which is very in line with the needs of Steinbeis China. In the future, it can carry out a variety of cooperations such as student internship and employment, technical standards, and translation of textbooks related to science and technology transfer.
Finally, based on the principle of win-win cooperation, the two sides have reached a preliminary intention to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership and carry out long-term all-round and in-depth cooperation.
