On June 5th, the graduation ceremony for the 2024 class of English (Sino-US Joint Program) undergraduates at Foreign Language College, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), was held in the college's lecture hall. Present at the ceremony were Professor Zhang Hua, Vice President of USST, Professor Tao Wang, head of the program at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY), college administrators, department heads, faculty members, families of the graduates and their friends. The ceremony was presided over by Dean Liu Qin.

The graduation ceremony kicked off with the national anthem. First, Vice President Zhang Hua delivered a speech, in which he reviewed the development history of the English (Sino-US Joint Program) major, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Chinese and American faculty and staff who had worked hard for the project, and sincerely congratulated all the graduates. He hoped that all the graduates would keep in mind the school motto of 'faith, loyalty, diligence, love, thinking, learning, and ambition', work hard, be positive, strive to be successful, and write a new magnificent chapter in their future life.

Professor Tao Wang, on behalf of Queen's College, extended his sincere greetings to the graduates and expressed his gratitude to the leaders, teachers, and parents for their hard work. Professor Tao Wang described the necessary qualities for becoming a successful person: dream, faith, plan, and being not afraid of failure, and wished the graduates to carry these qualities on their road to the future success.

At the ceremony, Qu Deqiang, the Party Secretary of the college, announced the list of students who were awarded the title of 'Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai'. Professor Liu Qin, the Dean of the college, announced the list of students who were awarded the 'Outstanding Graduate Scholarship for the Joint Projects'. Jin Xiaodong, the Deputy Party Secretary of the college, announced the list of students who were awarded the title of 'Outstanding Graduate of USST'. Zhang Le, the Vice Dean of the college, announced the list of students who were awarded the Siyuan Alumni Scholarship.

Filled with anticipation and blessings, all graduates received their certificates on the stage in turn. Student representatives presented flowers to their teachers to express their gratitude for their constant guidance and teachings. Jia Ying, a faculty member of our college, delivered a speech to the graduates, expressing her expectations for the young students who were about to embark on a new journey. Graduate representative Zhu Yijun made a speech, expressing his deep affection for his alma mater and college.

Amidst the group photos with teachers and students, the remembrances, and the reluctance to part, the ceremony came to a successful end.
